This section is for builds that are not strictly Tamiya or Heng Long. For instance, replacing the electronics from a WSN or Matorro, or even a scratch-build.

the Puma is 1:16, when it came time to paint it I started a 1:35 on which to do my tests.

When 1:35 is completely finished all I have learned I will transfer it to 1:16 ...

Now let's go on with 1:35.
Ahh, okay! I'm not as confused as I thought I was! :wtf: This is what happens when I visit the Forum with no caffeine in my system! :/ Jolly good, carry on! I'm still amazed though!

Hey Eric, those last few photos are of a real Puma. :P Sometimes with Met5 and a number of others here on RCTW it is difficult to tell. :D

Our good Herr Dr.,

You are most certainly correct! Some of these works of art, placed in an appropriate background are very hard to tell from the originals! Especially if photoed in black and white or with a sepia, monochrome tone. I also think it looks great too in the worn white wash look!

Cheers,
Eric.

Building a static 1:35 seems, coming from the dynamic 1:16, a child's joke.

But isn't.

The static speaks from a standstill, tells from off. They told me that the little ones are school. That's exactly how it is. Seeing is believing.

I wanted to put the photos all here, but it wouldn't be correct. The little guy will have a discussion all to himself.

I wonder if you used an undercoating of a textured paint before the final paint and weathering. It looks rougher than can be accomplished with, say, Mr. Surfacer 500. I have often thought a textured paint might create a more realistic casting appearance.
