Re: Early m4a1
Thank you for the continued support. After some trimming the gear boxes are now in and the wheels and suspension are painted and will be fitted once dry. Photos will follow at some point when I have fit the wheels

Hi.
Its turning out to be a very nice build Mr Brute, really like the casting numbers on the hull etc.

Not a great deal of photos here but I feel one is enough

Well today’s been a busy day with work on 3 builds going on, but hears the first, a test fit of the newly printed recoil and elevation unit

Re: Early m4a1
Will you fit hull appliqué armour as well? Or do you have a reference photo without it?

Hull armour plates have gone on. A better photo will go up when clamps are removed. I don’t feel it look right at the moment but I’m sure it will be better when primed. I stuck them in the wrong place originally

You have some thoroughly admirable, and imitation-worthy enhancements there, EB Judging from what's on view here, in this exemplary thread, you should get a good outcome with the Cromwell Do enjoy Christmas, if you can

Thank you recca. I have been in touch with Ludwig who has kindly sent a link for his build advice so I now know what bits I can build while I wait for the part I’m ordering over Christmas. This Sherman is only my second build but I’m glad the many hours of trauling through photos and manuals are paying off.
Have a good Christmas yourself, or at least the best you can make of it with the restrictions in place

So the armour plates now the clams are off. The bottoms will be filed down to allow the skirts to be fixed and I’m still not convinced they look right but that’s as far forward as the will go without cutting and loosing weld detail
