Re: Early m4a1
The issue with the turret is I’m trying not to base it on that of the prototype but more on the fighting tanks and after testing a number things on the turret where changed, the direct vision sight being one of those things but there doesn’t look to be any sights in the mantlet like on later Sherman’s Either so it will get the sight on top and that’s about it
It’s your tank it’s what you make it

Hi.
Nice looking conversion / upgrade, the wheels look excellent to me.

Thanks sub. The wheels aren’t quite right as they should be 5 spoke but, you can only work with what you have.

Hi.
Very true....you can only see 5 spokes when they are in the bogey anyway

I saw one of these when I was working on the turret, but it’s sort of turned out more like an a2 turret

Although absent some of the smaller cosmetics like the air intake ducts lights and other easy to break parts, she’s finished to the point of installing the electrics and running gear. But as she stands I think she would make a convincing burnt out hulk with some carefully positioned tracks. The fenders and skirts still need to be made but that won’t be done until she’s running and I get my a2 back for a guide

And back to the Sherman. 4 hours of going mad with a dremel saw this get done and some bits to the is3 I started ages ago but still can’t get it to fit.
