Re: SAMOKHODNAYA USTANOVKA-152/KV14 RENOVATORS DREAM!
Been a while on this, but it’s still technically not a completed build thread.
I simply forgot all about it.
At a recent show, this one was put to proper testing .
Ran like a Swiss watch but with Russian internals!!
A few poor connections which once were sorted ,never resurfaced.
Taigen V3 system & a good speaker worked well and certainly made an impression.
Mr Gunners supplied Stalin image made a start, but as I was undecided on which to use, and did not properly secure to the hull either of them , I lost one
It’s in the car park somewhere!

Sorry to break it to you Jee, but those are not the same vehicles. Those are ISUs and not SUs. The SU-152 is based on the KV-1 chassis while the ISU-152 is based on the IS-2 chassis. Besides the chassis differences the ISU is taller than the SU counterpart. Finding a walk around of the SU-152 is much harder than finding one of the ISU-152 as the SU-152 was replaced by the ISU-152. As far as I know there are only three surviving SU-152s:jee wrote:in case you dont have it, some walk-around:

Second SU-152 – Lubuskie Military Museum, Drzonów (Poland)

SU-152 – Kubinka Tank Museum (Russia)

Don't worry, thanks for clarifying it to me
I am planning a visit to Kubinka (this year or next year) anyway so then I will take some photos there.

We all learn from each other around here. Only reason I know so much about the SU-152 is I've also built one and mine runs really well also.jee wrote: Ow damn, so much to learn about all those tanks

As its supposed to be an early version 152 and they were not in Germany yet, Stalins my guy !!
The Taigen JS2 that I have waiting in the queue of projects might have a looted German artwork, a Piano and other stuff on it !!
Still undecided.
