Panther F

This section is for builds that are not strictly Tamiya or Heng Long. For instance, replacing the electronics from a WSN or Matorro, or even a scratch-build.

Perfect solution and really is a lot better now. I did think initially that you might have been a bit fussy, but once it’s moved , definitely the way to go.
Tidy job too

Hi Eastern Its the original one just moved , do they make a smaller one? On the F roof plate was made thicker suppose the cupola had extra protection so it was wider and lower. Just my guess, had a look at builds and kit reviews. Looks ok compared to most turret pics, could move the armoured aerial but cant find pics of roof.

Most realistic for 1946 would probably just be the base red oxide primer with stripes of RAL 7028 like Bovingtons Panther

This is the Panther that was finished after the war by the British who just used paint available to them (red oxide and primer) so the camo is neither prototypical or of German origin. The camo used in the final battles of Berlin would be more likely?

To my knowledge the German factories were running out of paint anyway which is why this scheme was applied to the Bovinton Panther so by 1946 I would say that this would be a reasonably realistic camo if not just plain primer

Ah, but you can't have it both ways! If we are working on the assumption that the war ran on a few months then we also need to assume they had the resources to keep going. The camo scheme was 100% British so, chances are, the German workers would has done different? Tricky.

But then the whole model is based on assumptions since the prototype hull was never completed and the prototype turret was just that, a prototype, so l guess you could take a liberty or two!

General Jumbo This is a what if build , going to be lots of issues . Next up the IR searchlight, found some good pics and the searchlight is 20 cm . Just a case of rough guess for the rest of the equipment, and scale down. A plus would be fitting an led .
