DUKW Build.

This section is for builds that are not strictly Tamiya or Heng Long. For instance, replacing the electronics from a WSN or Matorro, or even a scratch-build.

Thanks mutt71 :D the hull is designed to use the wpl / heng long truck axles and the wheels from these can also be used. I bought my tyres from rctank modellbau in Germany and modified the rims I had to fit these, most of the add ons and accessories i made myself then

Cheers, Lee.

Hello Lee,
Could you post a couple of photos of the undercarriage, showing the suspension? Did you use the WPL suspension as it is on the WPL 6X6?
Thanks in advance,
Jack

You know, the tires that come on the 1/10 scale Jeep might be just perfect for this project. I'll have some of them in a couple days so I'll get some measurements and post some photos so you can see what you think. Right now I think you can get the Jeep tires and rims for about four quid per pair.

Frankie has printed a set of wheels and tires that look really good and to scale. I am going to get cracking on earning how to post photos here, so I can post photos of them and the DUKW. Many thanks!

I've got a video on how to post photos using Imgur, would you like me to post it here for you?

I received the JJRC Chinese truck today. I stripped out the suspension and will be adding it to the hull over the next few days. I have many other parts on order. With the Christmas Holiday nearly upon us, I am not expecting much to be delivered any time soon.
