Re: Kettenkrad SdKfz 2
1 year without message in this post, but I worked on my kettenkrad and this is actually result of hours of work...
Hope you like it.
24 nuts for each sprocket
Exhaust
Opened the cockpit
Modifications on the rear, cause too long and tilt for passengers feets
New brass guide bar for passengers
New 3D parts (NSU emblem, front hooks, passengers seat etc..... ( thank you very much Patrick for your help and this awesome result!!!! )
Fork finishing, with smaller nuts (just missing springs for moment) and fork adjustments for soft functioning
Transmissions installation (thank you also to Eddy K for precious help)
Hope you like it.

Of course. 100 rpm

If I need to put faster transmissions, it will be easy to change.
Have a good day.

Hi Fred,FredtheFrench wrote:Good evening (or morning).
Somebody can help me to explain what are these parts right and left in the red circles? Some pictures of kettenkrads are with these parts and others KK are without. I would like to know what is was for and if I leave on my KK, or if I remove the parts.
Thanks for your answer and have a good day.
Fred.
this attachement was for mounting a machine gun on a stand. I've a picture at home of this aperature.
BTW, a fragile build you have mastered
Best regards,
Freddy

Thanks, but I got the answer a long time ago. It was to put a storage rack too.

Re: Kettenkrad SdKfz 2
Hi, Fred! I am glad you are back to the Kettenrad build. I read through it again, and I did not see anyone ask this question, so I hope it is not a repeat. Why is the rider's head blotted out? Was that the work of a wartime censor?
