Early Tiger I - Taigen Build
Re: Early Tiger I - Taigen Build
Thanks guys. Jimster, yours looks great!
I finished the brass fixtures (I think). Jack block and front tow rope mounts.
Side cable mounts
Rear is mostly done. Need to figure the order of paint.
ECA convoy light.
I decided to cut off the loops. I am pretending it was a field modification.

Looking good, the brass clamps always add that detail that bring it all to life.

Thanks.
I got a question about the S-Mine launchers - Are there much evidence that the rear launchers were gone, but the rest present? With the way the hull comes off the taigen tiger, I am afraid those launchers will get destroyed pretty quickly. I would like to install the other 3 and leave off the rear. Would that look off?
I have seen quite a few tanks with none that i could see, so i could just not add any. What are your guys thought?

Hi, The Smoke Canisters on the Turret were first installed in August 1942 they were no longer fitted after June 1943, The S-Minen were first fitted in June 1943 and deleted in October 1943,
With such a narrow window you can probably get away with leaving the S-Minen off your Tiger !
I hope that helps.

Been at a stand still due to a mother board problem, hopefully the company comes thru.
In the mean time I decided to work on the turret.
Stowage bin locks added.
ECA lift lug
ECA MG led mount
Wires for smoke launcher
Rear hull finished

Most awesome modeling. That convoy light isn’t upside down is it?

Oh yes, Very nice detail on the rear plate, I especially like the jack clamps as well as the jack handle clamp,
I don't know if you are aware that the Feifal Air Cleaner pipes are available in a magnetic version although making your own is not too difficult,
Having the pipes as quick release does make opening the Tank a lot easier,
