Famo Flak 88mm

This section is for builds that are not strictly Tamiya or Heng Long. For instance, replacing the electronics from a WSN or Matorro, or even a scratch-build.

At Patrie Officine we are not satisfied, so we have given a hot touch to the bunker counter:

With independent lighting, typical of a bunker.

Then we moved on to tweak the tracks in black, giving some scratches here and there. Without exaggerating.

We took courage and after many tests we went to targets on the armor of the 88. To the usual stripes on the barrel we thought of something more effective:

Obviously we have photographic evidence of our actions:

the under-boat has been properly soiled:

Meanwhile, the ranks of the crew are growing:

At Patrie Officine we love to think that a project starts and takes its path. This path ends at some point. Although a friend repeats to me that a cart is never finished at the moment we think Astrid is complete. Its genesis begins in January 2017 with the purchase of the first parts, is completed in late May 2020.

Certain that what we are we owe to the tests that we have passed we thank Astrid trying to make her beautiful.

Maybe more could be done. It could have been done better.

But I preferred to avoid the path of azimuth painting, the virtuosity of oil washes.

I painted it and I aged it. That's enough for me.

the photographic technique used makes each photo unique, as unique was the path of light that created it. Here's why to repeat some shots. All equally different.

Two extreme shots, bordering on 3D rendering:

In the next few days videos on the road and then the last warrior is expected for the delivery photos to the crew.

Today, the arrival of the Famo Testing & Collection Commission was celebrated at the Patrie Officine.

Definitely better not to make them angry

I'm counting on making better videos. The industrial location leaves few glimpses. The slope of the Hill of boots is significant, which the war machine faces without difficulty.

Today after more than three years the Famo has left the Patrie Officine. Triple salvo of cannon shots.

Forward with the next

I absolutely love the sound effects and gun movements which is why I love watching videos of other folk’s models. All your hard work has paid off well.
