Jake's WeCoHe Panther Ausf. G (MAN) Early '44
Re: Jake's WeCoHe Panther Ausf. G (MAN) Early '44
This weekend I'm getting the final WeCohe Panther photos out. I have them in 3 sets. Here's the first set which is all the basecoating and initial camoflage done back in December 2018. I have to put the year as some know I started working on this back in 2007, and really got sick of modeling in micro-minutia and having to re-create the wheel too many times to get it done. Anyway, blah, blah, blah. The last photo I put in because doing the last tank (Porsche-Tiger VK4501(P)) my lighting had changed and it really sucked doing photos. So I went out and got some blue lighting and they are working great for detail painting and not perfect for photos, they're much better. It's always funny when I see it in photos, I made that 7ft worktable for large projects and still only have a small area to work in.

This is the first set of the completed Panther and done inside. The photos were better than with the last tank as I changed and improved the lighting, but still not totally happy with it, so the next day I did some outside photos that look much better. Anyway, Panther is done.

Funny thing is that when I finished the tank I had forgotten in the almost intervening 12 years how I was going to paint it and was scrambling to remember for a few weeks.
