Very cool. That is one great looking build. Like I said in the other thread I picked up a Nitto 1/35 scale model to scratch build on of these...some day anyway.

Re: Alice Chalmers M8 High speed tractor scratch build
The M8 sure looks good to me! If it needs a home near its prototype home, just let me know.
I have tried to hold off, but I just cannot control myself. It's ALLIS-Chalmers. Sorry...I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and "West Allis" (nmed after Edward P. Allis) is an ninetheenth-century working-class suburb where, on 70th and Greenfield Avenue once stood the proud Allis-Chalmers factory, birthplace of everything from the Allis-Chalmers WC to the Allis-Chalmers 8050 farm tractors and so many more; home of eye-bogglingly massive equipment for mining, each built one-at-a-time on an immense erecting floor, broken down again, shipped, and re-assembled on site.
Forty years ago I had a prized Allis-Chalmers jeans jacket with the wheat-sheaf combine logo on the back. Once, just once, I wore it on the bus, on my way to work in Los Angeles. I heard two women behind me talking. One asked "Alee-Chalmay? I've never heard of that designer!"
OK, I'll shut up.

I'm pretty sure if you "edit" the original (first) post, the title is accessible for editing.Sub wrote:Hi Herr Dr.
