Good health, dear forum participants!

I want to share with you my success in the construction of Jagdtiger. I started this project a long time ago, back in 2015. At the moment the project is not finished yet, since I had to suspend it because of the birth of my son. My son has grown, and now I hope to continue building as free time develops.

The project was started with the purchase of Tamiya King Tiger lower hull and the growl.

Lengthened the lower hull by adding a metal plate

More interesting surprises coming our way, then, K. ? :) One real surprise is to see someone saw a rear of a Tamiya King tiger off :O Now that is bold (and expensive :shifty: ). I sawed the rear of an Asiatam Pz IV hull off for a project, but that was minor league compared with this. We look forward to more ingenious bits of engineering from you..

Thank you!
I saw your project and was impressed by your attention to detail.

This is an absolutely magnificent build. Keep up the great work. What type of track tensioner is that? It's a very nice design with a much more pronounced way of dialing in your settings.

Then I installed the gearboxes and assembled the running wheels.

If memory serves me right, this is the Henntec tensioner of the early version. I bought it from Dominique rctank.de (not advertising), but now it is not available for sale.

After that, I started experiments with gearbox and motors.
The main idea I pursued was to give the model a high power. To this end, 540 class brushless motors were purchased.
Jagdtiger is a tank with a front-wheel drive. The 540's are heavy. I did not want the front of the tank to be too heavy. To facilitate the front of the tank, the motors were placed in the rear part, and the gearbox drive is realized using cardan mechanisms.
