CF Tiger 1.
Re: CF Tiger 1.
Cf ring for turret/lid looks workable. Its rigid, and should maybe add that four layers was minium. The Celebrations lid, had a drop, inner, so used this area to build over curve, and add strips outer. Its kinda rough on the B side, will maybe sand some more.
The worst area of repair, doent look to affect any future use. Will add resin to worker area, with cloth after any repairs, which helps on smooth surfaces.
The six mills, look to run ok, and could maybe just cheat, and add round plate on top, the balls rise just above inner circle.
Have looked at rubber seals, online, and found possible pattern, reckon its worth having ago at top ring for this are.
The sixes could be increased, the hollows, got now dont seem functional....they also have a ridge.....maybe steels would wear surface of cf too quickly...

CF Tiger 1.
You could use plastic air soft BB’s or beads if your worried about the steel balls.

Re: CF Tiger 1.
Hi Wayne, thank you, will order some.
The rear box didnt work out as hoped for, although thinking ahead, maybe this is perfect oppotunity to try some cf hinges, which maybe a possibilty for tracks.
the idea being, to sandwich two layers around an ally tube (Doubled up on base) for tracks guess the pin area has to be pretty well located. Could maybe lay up two hinges, resin together, although other fin/guide looks troublesome.
Found some possible bearings for front of turret-gun mount.
souced some more load bearing wheels, but reckon there alittle on the large side, and theres only four, thought five minimum.
Have assembly to sandwich top hatch seals, maybe some room for rubber seal also, and have ordered a seal as pattern, think its travelling snail mail.

Re: CF Tiger 1.
Top hatch assembly looks ready to binding and hingeing together. theres room for extra sealing.
Rear box still needs working.

Re: CF Tiger 1.
CF ally hinge looks useable. Had placed two boards, next to each other, buttered cloth, placed ally tube ,rolled and sat.
Has pretty uniformed thickness, and cloth gripPed well around tube, looking at various sources, maybe this is way forward for tracks, maybe the guide could have seat, and be sandwiched.

Re: CF Tiger 1.
Hi Mick. Many thanks. Guy at shop said not much sticks to plastic..so nothing is safe... ....
Decided to attempt, what could be a vent, messed up my mixtures, resin ended up acting more like glue, which meant destruction of pattern, but replaced and re did, with some CF sock, and metal pattern.
Started fabricating covers for openings in side of turret, and observation(?) openings in upper hull.
Cut and resined section for gun mount...around twelve pieces, each four layers.

Re: CF Tiger 1.
Hey Mick, Thank you. Fishponds have done also...almost fell in the thing after. The principle related to me was that FB was kinda layed up using loadsa resin and glass to hold, think it was "designed" to be around five layers , but guy at shop,Wiz said theres not alot of difference there, coz theres ways of reducing weight, which have attemped also. Cf is best at ratio...45-55% CF -epoxy ?? The epoxy using now, is good quality, whereas, in past used SP something or another, and the lower quality affected item alittle.
Greetings C Ellis, HERMAN BIX .....share...SHARE! Could always attach my Hobao Hyper GTS E
Gun mount got a trim.
Pulled pattern - vent replaced and added inside.
Used CF sock- plastic pattern for cover fixing.
