Malarky, you are right, the tools have to be replaced. I had a look again and they are moulded sunken into the surface. Horrible design, wonder why they did that.

Pete if you are looking for pictures of a Tiger1 Tow hitch complete with a pintle pin,Then I wish you well,
There are almost no good photographs to be found of them.
The general assumption appears to be a Pin with a chain attached to the top and the other end to one of the Tow Hitch mounting bolts BUT I think I saw sometime long ago a pintle pin with a "C" shaped handle that was hinged from the top of the pin and curved around for the other end of the "C" handle to fit in a hole drilled into the last 5 cms of the pin.
So no chain just a handle that locked in place for transport and when pulled out of the hole in the bottom of the pin could be used to lift the pin out of the hitch.

Hi Shaun
What i did in the end was drilled and tapped the towhitch from underneath and fitted a Schumo wingnut to the chain and screwed it in. I actually think it works pretty well, maybe not exact replica but as i will be using a stack of the Schumos it kinda fits in with the overall presentation.

I ordered Early German Tiger 1 toolclamps from Shapeways.com, with apprehension and I must admit against great advice received here! They arrived today, absolutely chuffed with them. Paid £24.00 for 29 so not cheap but thought they are worth a look. I know the purists among us may say 'make your own' and I take that on board, but I am well pleased.
I have now located a 3d model of 2 mm wingnuts and I am getting these made just to see what they come out like. I will have spare ones and if they are up to scratch am willing to share them.
Below is a print of the configuration.

What you spend in money for those clamps you safe for your nerves. Because assembling those PE clamps is quite time consuming.

Woe, Woe a thousand times Woe, :haha:
I wish you very good luck with those clasps, as to Wing/Butterfly nuts, I just got a set of 11 threaded Wing/Butterfly nuts by WECOHE from ---
http://www.rctank.de
It is the first time in years of looking that I have discovered 0.8mm/M1 pre-tapped wing/butterfly nuts.
