1/16 RC VW BUS...WHAT IF...PROJECT

I got a 1/16 RC VW bus and decided to do it as a what if the Germans had them, after all this one is a 1950 T2.

So, I have done it as a Afrika Korps one.

I have actually cracked on a rate of knots with this, thoroughly enjoyed myself. I have had a go at painting a figure, painted the inside, added a 1/16 Tiger spare wheel, some pipes, couple of crates, helmet and water bottle and a box of fruit and eggs :D

I have the front lights to do, some decals and some tools to attach.

What a hard-case idea !!
We have "what-if " tanks, so why not "what-if" support vehicles ?!!
The lack of an AA MG seems to be a bit optimistic however ;) :haha: :haha:

Cheers mate, glad you like it so far, there are some detail parts to add, when they arrive, and there will be an MG :D

Doesn't matter what it is really, the idea was to take a £14 RC toy and have some fun, being VW and German it just an exercise in what if the Germans had VW vans, plus it was to have a laugh and enjoy myself-which I did, had a right giggle and really enjoyed this build.

I laughed at your what IF VW,
Back in the late 60s early 70s VW tried selling (What was marketed in the USA as "The Thing")what was a rehashed Kubel to NATO,
It turned up at a NATO Transport Company resplendent in high gloss white and parked between the Mud brown Paint scheme of the Land Rovers, Dafs and Merc trucks.
Even the German servicemen were pointing their fingers at it and laughing,
Strangely NATO turned down the "Thing".
Shaun.
