kv 85 build

Post by Dragon245 »

First off BIG THANKS to SASSGRUNT mike that ref info was a god send, finally got the parts together for my 85 build or so I thought. Went for the profiline kit from asiatam, Opinion so far NOT IMPRESSED! think the mould is getting old fit is poor and detail missing and the turret front was missing! admittedly asia were on the ball and sent one through, only to find its way too small!!! also Im down 3 fuel tanks so Ive emailed them with pics but we will see

the engine deck, first issue sides do not fit , so the top and bottom wont close, so fettled them in. then found the engine deck and rear plate are too narrow, so had to add fillets to both to get to fit :-< :-< 2 evenings later I think I've got it.Also started to on the turret fit heres a first look as it will look

Dragon,
You are off to a fine start! Hybrid builds are extra work ( a lot in some cases ) but sooooo very worth it when completed. ;o)

My deepest condolences Dragon.....That IS a rather awful turret ....kind of makes me think it came from the Mr Potato Head factory 8O

With that said....It'll be fun to see how this one turns out...if worse comes to worse...you can always add it to your Flinstones Tank Collection ;)

Happy Holidays to you and yours Dragon...and please pass that along to Fynsdad Image
