Sd Kfz 9 Famo.

This section is for builds that are not strictly Tamiya or Heng Long. For instance, replacing the electronics from a WSN or Matorro, or even a scratch-build.

Sd Kfz 9 Famo.

Post by FredtheFrench »

hello.

This is few pictures of my Famo.

I want to do a Famo for recovery with fonctional winch and with an anchor. For moment It is stopped because I have my Sherman dd tank to finish before.

Inside, it will be maybe a Clark TK22 for Tiger.

This Famo is an impressive model and I like it. If you like this big German half track, this is a video than I do about the trip to a museum to an another museum in Normandy... I have do more 400 kms to see this Famo start and run..., and with extra, Sherman tank start and run in the field in the first or second video!!!

And with another angle.

Very late.

The frame of cover is not made by myself. I bought this frame on Asiatam with the cover. But I have removed this cover, because it was not beautiful. I need to search a cover more thin.

It is not often this parts is to sold on Asiatam.

For electronic, finally, it will have Elmod inside especially for Famo.

Sorry to repeat 4 times the word "cover" :D

Hello everybody.

I am back.

Since few weeks, my Famo was in Germany to undergo a lot of modifications and especially the transmissions.

I have sent my model to Martin "Isy" of MK Modellbau.

His work is amazing and the new transmission is a great and beautiful job... He has put some bearings on each wheels and has realigned all the wheels. A professional work...

This is the pictures of this work and few pics of little details than I have made.

The work of the day.

Not easy when everything unsolders to weld another part ...

I am still very happy with the result because I hadn '2 pictures that this type of mounting Famo and 2 small patterns, without measure, but m' were allowed to come to that. More that to put it up on the back of this half track ...
