19th ..only done a little bit ( man flu ? ) !Tortoise A-39

This section is for builds that are not strictly Tamiya or Heng Long. For instance, replacing the electronics from a WSN or Matorro, or even a scratch-build.

19th ..only done a little bit ( man flu ? ) !Tortoise A-39

Post by mcevoyi »

Hi all

Its been a while since i really got my teath in actually building a ' tank '...and i looked around for a while and wanted to something no one has yet attempted ?
But i am also sure that some one out there may have done it ..but i can't gind any evidence ..to date ...

Well its going to be a bit of a slow build ..and that down to a lack of funds ...even simple things like a second set of HL king tiger tracks will have to wait .....but at least i can sort of get going ?'

Its take an age to finally get enough hl sherman suspension units together for the build ..16 sets / units in all ...and no much of a mod to get the spacing between them to fit the hl kt tiger tracks ....and i opted to use the hl kt sprockets and idellers just to save money ...but i also need a second set of rear idellers to help with the ' look ' of the running gear when finally complete .....

So..here we go ...pic time

An interesting project.....

If you build such an easy drive of only the plastic tank may not be as difficult as the original ... :wtf:

I'm curious how it goes..... :D

I am now trying to figure out how you are going to make Tortoise shells?

Original build there, no one else has done one as far as I know, so this will be one to follow.
