Tamiya Jagdtiger conversion.

This section is for builds that are not strictly Tamiya or Heng Long. For instance, replacing the electronics from a WSN or Matorro, or even a scratch-build.

Tamiya Jagdtiger conversion.

Post by GMV »

Hi.
I've been working on this since january 2011.
It's comming along nicely and will soon be ready for primer and finally paint.
The build is based on a old single motor/clutch King Tiger kit wich I got from a colleague.
Hull is extended and reinforced.

The hull, superstructure and traverse unit is what I have built myself. Rest is aftermarketparts from Impact, Wecohe, Asiatam, ETO etc.

I didn't know you can get the JK mantlet and the gun after market. It looks amazing and the scale is right which is always the toughest part. Even some of the lesser manufacturer can't get it right.

Thanks.
The gun and mantlet is Wecohe stuff. Pricey, but most needed.
Everything is measured from a drawing, or several drawings I scaled upp and printed from blueprints.com.
I'm glad you like it :)

Thanks. There is a lot more to do with it before it's complete and ready for some primer.
I.eg I need to modify and mount the Asiatam full metal roadwheels, need to redo the traverse/elevation mechanic. Build a speaker box. etc.
