I think you've gone the issue in the right way there Arnie....I try to do the same by letting the sellers know what happened and why you are taking such actions...In most cases they understand...it's when they don't that a problem usually arises

This was my solution I posted already at RCUniverse. I used the Tammy electronics for reliability and ease of use and installation. I simply ran out of patience to attempt lateral movement. lol. Hope this helps, if you have any questions, ask away! My upper hull was a bit flexed, but not bad. I also used a full Tammy suspension on a HL lower hull braced with Aluminum.

For the internal parts, here is what happened.

I think I had stared too long at this thing, trying to figure out how to make the square fit inside the circle. Some time off the project, gave me a new way of seing it. After trying out a few things, I basicly went back to the original design of the Stug hull and just made the circle go inside the square instead

Some modification was required to the original parts, to make room for the recoil unit:













Not a lot of room inside



All that is left now (sounds so simple ) is to change the wheels and idlers. Solder the lights. Put in the Flash unit and IR parts...then time for paint

Looking good, I have mine about done. I need to install the Tammy DMD and MF units and then wire it all up. Here are some of my pics. I used all Tammy suspension and ground off the HL molded parts.

Okay...Sorry for reviving an old topic, but seemed like a better idea, than starting a new one about the exact same thing
But this have been neglected for way too long. Havent really had the time to do much work in one go for a while now, but finally got back to tinkering with my tanks a few weeks back, so all of this have happened slowly over the last couple of months, with some of those months being quite idle.

Anyways, the Stug is more or less done. I decided to "upgrade" the hull a bit, to get more room and make it more sturdy.

All I really need to finish is the detail painting, both on the tank and the tools(to be fitted at some point)

An effective use of spares, Arnie. The camo work is pleasingly understated, giving the Stug that 'lived-in', or used look. If the General were still numbered among us, I'm sure he'd have some positive, if offbeat, appraisal to offer.
In any event, old threads can offer more than new ones..just as older people can me more interesting than younger ones Feel free to exhume as many as you please! (er..but not people..)

You utilized the cramped space of the lower hull perfectly and really did a neat installation

I agree the como is understated enough to warrant a war wary machine

I like the addition of the night vision setup on this Panzer.
