Crusader Tank new build

This section is for builds that are not strictly Tamiya or Heng Long. For instance, replacing the electronics from a WSN or Matorro, or even a scratch-build.

The gearboxes arrived from Forgebear (many thanks Dave and Julie - geat service as always   ). I had to do some minor surgery to get them to fit but it looks like they will work.

Finished printing the turret roof

Just need to print the top hatches
The level steps are quite obvious as I have printed large steps (0.2mm) to get this done quickly. It should be printed in 0.08mm layers to get a good surface but i'm prototyping and it would take too long, so have to rely on Mr Surfacer or other filler. It will look better with the applique sides on.

Before I got to the gearboxes I decided to do the raised platform on the rear of the upper hull.

First side toolbox completed. The design was fun, but not as much fun as threading the 0.8mm brass rod through the hinges without breaking them   :haha: 8O :D
