Panther Gs Detail upgrades

This section is for builds that are not strictly Tamiya or Heng Long. For instance, replacing the electronics from a WSN or Matorro, or even a scratch-build.

Progress on the last upper hull details I planned. The locks on the engine hatch and the lot of bolts over the front.

Funny enough the voyager people set contains parts not mentioned in the manual. The two pieces I put on the engine hatch for instance. They look like they belong there, the set has 4, but you would only need 2. Still, these parts aren't mentioned .

Rctank was quick in sending the add ons for my progress. Will see if Mr Corley engineering will make the difference. And some stencils for different numbers compared to the other Panthers.Image

Now half the way through. There is no play in the suspension anymore. Arms and torsion bars are a tight press fit after filing the cast seam on the suspension arms. After final mounting I can now finish the painting and weathering of the hull before moving to the wheels. Finally. Hope this expensive stuff pays of. Image

Looking good. Has the new suspension system changed the weight of the lower hull or improved the center of gravity?

It is niticeably heavier now and with some backdrop. But as no motor, etc. is yet mounted, this will change.

Finally, the suspension is mounted so the hull got its Base coat. Camo will be next before some final highlights. ImageImageImage
