PAPER PANZER BUILD

This section is for builds that are not strictly Tamiya or Heng Long. For instance, replacing the electronics from a WSN or Matorro, or even a scratch-build.

Paint rings? Just get your self a stiff section of automotive type coolant hose. Cut to length to fit in your hand then dip in the paint of your choice and apply your rings.

I like thatImageI was going to consider painting them freehand, but even I know that would be

Such a seal like object would be helpful for sure. As long as you will get enough variation in shape that would be very useful. A darker color of those would look really cool. Maybe even do them brown to complement the green lines?

So my preliminary idea is to approach this freehand as many have noted, and my research has shown me how irregular these rings can be. More like ovals at times and even some solid circles in some versions.

So this should be fun. Any little mistakes will blend right in with a filter and random chipping.

Herman time to feel the burn :crazy:Image

Last night some time at the work shop and very carefully going about, I habd painted many little things we call octopus rings circles ovals and dots....

Please remember this is freehand and I've much more to do with all the detail bits and tools etc, filters and washes. Image

Nothing is near done yet, I've some things that I need to sort out....ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

And that is like it should be. A bit more strength to the colour maybe to enhance the effect?

Thank you Soeren still contemplating my next move. On the fence but adding some red brown is in the back of my mind

Don't want to overdo it....

Such a fine line between just right and a bit too much...
