Home-made track tensioners for H.L. Pershing

Post by strmnd54 »

It has probably been done before ; and Phil at RCtankwars is selling a tensioner design that seems quite sturdy ( also pricy ....) . :'( :'(
But since I'm cheap and I have an old non smoke & sound Pershing that I keep for spare parts ; I decided to take a shot at it ....
I tried to keep the tensioner very simple and self-adjusting ...
Here's a bunch of pictures with commentaries ....

That's a really good idea - a self adjusting tensioner and simple too, well done, I'l have to see if I can use that anywhere on my adaptions though I'm using a bulldog as my base vehicle so the suspension is different.
