Went over the missing zimmerit patches & edges with a red-er primer that I used on Panther 111. The period picture makes it a difficult decision to use it, as my head says the missing zimmerit may have been painted over with base coat before getting itsnew camo job.
Or, its the sun and dust/dirt, or some other reason the larger patches on the front lower glacis are pale rather than dark

A little chipping using the sponge dip process, and a light pigment on the running gear.
As the pigment fixer is still drying its hard to get the feel for it, but Im confident it will lighten up a lot when fully dry.
The spare road wheels need a bit of chipping or some-such as they are too bright for me.
Tracks are the next mission.

Just as I had predicted, the fixer has dried and the Europe Earth pigment looks like dry mud/dust .
I am deciding how to deal with the lower front hull missing Zimmerit patches with a similar application of mud/ dust.
Plan to either spray a wash over it( first time airbrushing a wash) or a light buff or deck tan to tie it all in

Herman,
Good Morning. If you are using the keyboard built into your laptop, go to Control Panel/Device Manager and uninstall the Keyboard drivers then reboot. Windows (and I am assuming that you are using Windows) will then reload the drivers for a quick fix. If this is a plug in keyboard, try using a different USB port. Outside of that, Uncle Google may be of help regarding your hardware make and model.
Regards,
Painless

Thanks for the smart tip Mr Wolf. But when it comes to things computer, I can barely spel I.T. without assistance let alone drivers and reboots 8O :/
So by taking the path of least intelligence, got an old USB plug in keyboard & bunged that in ..................... ;) Sorted

Took an early mark from work today & rushed home to embrace the family & have a heart to heart ...................... :shifty: :lolno: NAAAAHHHH!!
Go the paint gear out & smashed paint & sealer onto the tracks ready for the messy pigment application.
I will put pics up once the pigment is on.

Pigment application is a messy business, but the result is worth it I reckon.
The dusting is done using the same Europe Earth as the rest, but only some of it is fixed, the rest is loose & will find its way off, or stay on as it sees fit !!
I figured that the armour would have had scratches along them, even if thats not visible in the period picture.
Used a long toothpick with superglue on the end (for application in tight spots) and just pushed it along the plates letting it take its own path each time.
during a bit of a test run to knock the pigment off the top of the track cleats, some of the outer roadwheels popped off, so they got the spot of superglue in the right spot to hold each one on. Time will tell.
Stowage is the next mission........................

After completely forgetting about the canvas infill behind the mantlet, I managed to get one knocked up & in place fairly easily.
Just used some very thin grey cloth cut into a horseshoe shape to fit around the gun mount, then manipulated into position & superglued in place.
While not perfect, its effective enough for this kid.
Now Im on with the stowage...................

Thanks Mr Jimster, it’s coming along ok.
I’m working on the stowage now, having a go at making bits rather than buying Value Gear sets.

That’s the most rewarding way to go about it. I have 100% confidence in your ability.
