Deeper bass for the Tiger 1

Post by Jim Reeves »

I just received a pair of M12-J speaker modules from Parts Express in the US with the thought to try and improve the sound quality of the engine sounds from my Tiger 1 and incoming King Tiger. My Tiger has the latest version of the HL speaker which is compact and does a nice job for it's size but absolutely cannot compare with the M12-J, which can reach an octave lower. And apart from the shipping costs, the M12-J is dirt cheap! Dimensions without the mounting legs are 4" long by 1 1/2" wide by 1" deep (115mm x 38mm x 25mm) and the ported module weighs 110 grams. The connector must be modified or removed, but the plugs fit nicely on the pins of the controller!

Very interesting. Considering the latest barrage of erotic spam I thought your post title was somewhat interesting :eh:

But cool modification BTW.

Could you possibly post a video comparison of the newest speaker ? I assume it gives a deep rich sound compared to the little round speaker.

I'd love to if you could suggest how I go about posting it. I've never done so with photobucket, but can manage it through instagram if you wish.

Honestly, if I was you, I'd edit your first post to change your post title, because when someone finally turns up to sort out this porn mess, you may get caught up in friendly fire.

Please consider what I'm saying

You could do a short video of the tiger and upload to YouTube and post the link here on the forum. That's how I post mine. I'm sure there are other ways to setup a video.

Thanks for the warning, done!

And here's the link to my first ever Youtube video, I hope the difference is apparent!

Cool, sorry, in other circumstances it would have been cool, I just didn't want you to be mistaken for a spammer

More advice, I'm on a roll :D

If you now edit your last post. Click on the video icon top right of the writing box when you have the cursor in the right place. Add that link you just posted for YouTube in between the two sets of brackets and the video will show up on the forum
