He looks wonderful.

I used to have one that liked to help with DIY , no fear of power tools, had to be locked out of the room.

I am enjoying your build . Is it just a basic plastic Heng Long Tiger?

Thank you. Yes, it’s the basic plastic model but it did come with metal gears, tracks and drive wheel/idlers.

It wasn’t a very fun job but I removed the left side aerial tube. Not the prettiest work but it’ll be fine once all the details and weathering hide it. I also added some nice metal accurate headlights. The Heng Long lights were obnoxious.

Don't knock yourself, Once you have fitted the "ABER" Photo-Etch Engine cover grills it will be perfect,
Oh didn't I mention the Grills :lolno: Joking,
Fit the grills by all means but not everyone does,
Just a rub along the worked area with a little bit of fine emery cloth and it will be great.
I have never understood why Heng Long persist with fitting the VERY wrong Headlights,
Although Headlights on Tiger1 Tanks is worth a couple of pages by themselves, 2 above the mantlet one each side or if you are building "131" No headlights at all or 1 in the centre between the driver and the Hull MG, You take your choice :haha: :haha:
Like Herman said there is no end to the things that can be done to a Tiger 1,
I do hope you obtain a decent set of decals because the only place to stick the Heng Long ones is in the bin.

Very nice work on the tiger jimster, really like the worn look you've achieved  I bet your feline friend thinks itself more of a king tiger though ;) :D

Cheers, Lee.

Still waiting for more detail parts and decals but I just had to put her together for some outdoor pics and some running. Oddly the recoil feature has stopped functioning after reassembly. It still shoots the BBs but no recoil. I’m not sure why it stopped but I like it bettter. Still curious as to why. I also don’t like the blue color of the headlights. I want them to be more yellow. The tracks are already beginning to wear off the paint on the cleats from running on concrete. This is visible in the last pic. I like that.
Thanks for checking in and I have a lot work left to do. Happy New Year!

Thank you very much. It’s a Heng Long. My absolute first attempt at armor, my first rc and my first try at 1/16 scale. I’m lovin’ it so far.
