This one is nearly finished, just last bits of weathering to do, it's a duplicate of a 1/35th scale sherman I did about 20 years ago using the Kirin resin sandbags.Resin side protection supplied by Frank. Presenting "Buster" my late war / Ardennes campaign / Patton's nightmare Sherman.

Nicely done, and a measure of praise, of course, to Frankie  Does the weight of all that defensive 'sand' impact on its performance and handling? :D
It probably did on the full-scale version....

Yes I'm very grateful to Frank for the resin side armour, it would add a lot more weight if I had to miliput those and create my own framework. weight wise it's probably a bit less than adding a metal turret to it, I still wouldn't want to drop it on my foot though.
Possibly make a good hill climber with the added lower centre of gravity.

Hi wardog, I believe the frame work for the side sandbag armour is part of the mould that Frankie made, I have a set from Frankie of the frontal sandbag armour and everything is moulded as one piece ie sandbags, spare roadwheel, spare track etc they are very nice items and would recommend to buy some if Frankie makes any more, hope this helps

Cheers, Lee.
