Mg sorted, its the devil in the detail . Sometimes its ok but you always know it can be better.

Hi Soeren Casting is looking like a learning curve is required, 1st go was with blue stuff and epoxy resin. Mixed results tried the mg and tow shackles. Added detail to the cupola.

Cupola done ,paint ok on hatch stop. Fixed hinge cover as its low on HL.

Electrics problem, slipring has failed. Problem is unless slipring is dead centre the cables will twist and some will fail. Will look for a slipring that has a shallow profile, rewired with computer ribbon for now. Upgraded the barrel elevation from servo lever to a servo gear system.

Nylon gears , hard part is fitting the barrel gear if its out gear will not mesh properly.

Cut up a gear and drilled out to sit on one of the pivots.   Lined up another cut down to match up the gear teeth.

A few more little fixes and a repair. Hope i can match the yellow , or just add some grime as its a void beside the tracks.

Fitted 2 towing shackles i cast from the Trumpeter kit. Next try and get the paint to match.

Clever idea using JB weld to make shackles !
Your going great guns matching all the details to the background paint.
I have another Panther project on the list so this is very handy info
