I detailed up the HengLong Kingtiger to the image of the tank number 008 Ardennes Front /The 501st heavy tank battalion.
In order to represent the surface of the rolled steel and cast iron, I dug a lot of tiny holes using a mini router, painted the thinned Tamiya putty with a solvent on it and hit the wire brush. After drying, I sanded lightly on that surface.
The gun rack and ammo bag on commander cupola is self made with brass material. The ammo belt was made by evenly sandwiching a brass wire cut into a bullet shape into two thin black paper bands. I used the Voyager Model etched parts for OVM's Clamps.
The tracks are weathering painted on original plastic tracks. I used BEIER - Electronic USM - HL 2 for the sound board and converted the original BB spec to servo recoil.

Job well done!

Re: Removing side fender and metal track
I attached a metal track (ver. 1) to this Heng Long Tiger II. However, since this metal track is slightly wider than the plastic track, the track will hit the front side fender when the tank runs. I decided to take off some of the side fenders on this occasion. As a result, this makes it easier to see the slack condition of the track.
Attention is necessary when removing a part of the side fender. There are some modelers who are mistakenly handling the reinforcing ribs on the fender. In actual Tiger II, reinforcement ribs are welded to both ends on the second and fourth side fenders from the front. Other fenders are inserted into this reinforcing rib. For example, if the second fender from the front is removed, there should be no reinforcement ribs at both ends that were removed.
I applied weathering paint using pastel powder diluted with PETROLE and Diorama Texture Paint on a metal track.
