Good morning, Herman,
Still following along. Your list is pretty close to mine in terms of 'what to do'. Tired minds think alike I venture. *grinz*
regards,
Painless

Looking Good Mr. Bix....really coming along nicely!!HERMAN BIX wrote:Thanks lads.............I keep telling myself its not a race
The Tamiya King Tiger beckons
I will be getting on with the internals now, locating switches etc.
Control board is still not certain, but I can prep the inside for its arrival at least.
I might even do the camo against the way I always do a tank :
- Running gear
- Lower hull
- Internals
- Upper hull & turret
- camo
- track paint & fit.
-weathering etc.
This KG Fallingbostel Tiger (thats what I reckon the 'F' is for-not Fehrmann)is going ok, but a bit slower than planned.
Yea, I like your "Its not a race'" quote....I pretty much live my life by that quote
My build is going at a snails pace and I might take the Guinness record for slowest build ever.
I keep saying to myself I'm going slow to savor the moment, because when Im all done...then what
am I going to do with all my free time??? OH YEA.....BUILD ANOTHER TANK...HA HA HA
Tanks a lot,

Re: FEHRMANN GRUPPE TIGER 05
Well I have dragged the chain a bit on this........
Had a few things to do on one of the club members tanks(the StuGIII with swing armour and PzIV brass schurzen etc) but with those done, and a happy owner, I have looked into this F05 project once more.
I have also landed an Early Tiger 1 Winter to do as a pure commission build for a new entrant into the hobby, he currently collects 1/28th and 1/30th statics that are very pricey.
Nice-real nice, but pricey for a static model.
I will do my best to present him with as good an example of an early T1 in distressed whitewash for the agreed budget as I can.
Ok, so............F05
Ive got it to the point of electronics.
Im really waiting for the new Taigen V2 stuff to arrive down here, so I've not gone too far fitting the usual stuff in the hull space.
The paint scheme is ready to go, all decided, so now its hold on and await the availability of the V2 hardware before assembly and paint.
I did revisit the historic info of this unit to ensure I have as mush "historic plausibility" as is possible with Tiger F05(no known period pictures exist so far) having the early complete specs with late running gear & nothing else exotic or otherwise unusual, & this seems to be the case.
I decided to run the Mato twin speaker set up to utilise space & spread the sound from the engine grilles.
Has anyone used/got/chucked out these as an option and if so, what are they like ?

Ok, you asking, I was about to ask you about your opinion.
I would assume they would have a very flat sound. As I use the visaton fr5?
https://www.rctank.de/VISATON-Lautsprecher-M
An these are already rather flat in that small box.

Herman I've used these, they have a nice clear sound but little bass. Maybe a pair of Taigen 3w speakers would allow for a more deep and overall sound experienceand save space
Tanks alot....

Compare the size of them to those Visaton FRS7s you got. You should be able to guess how these little ones will go.HERMAN BIX wrote:Has anyone used/got/chucked out these as an option and if so, what are they like ?
