Fictional "Super KV" WIP

Post by AshMann »

Here is a build, i started out of boredom while i wait to see if my parents can get me a HL Sherman tank. Basically this is a KV-1 with a 88mm main gun, some sandbags in the front (i will see what i can use to replace the sandbags i used), and some side armor to protect the wheel train. I might give this tank a nickname, im leaning towards calling it "?????" (Alpha). So far, i got the Tiger 1 airsoft barrel in the place of the stock KV 1 bb barrel, the longer airsoft barrel is too long for the bb to make it out of at high speed, (The bb maybe looses most of the energy by the time it makes it halfway to the muzzlebrake, i dont know), but that doesnt matter much, as i plan on converting this tank for IR battles. Let me know what you think of my first build, I am open to suggestions!

I did use that for inspiration but i kept the original gun manlet, that was meant for the KV-1`s original main gun, the 76.2mm F32 cannon.

The barrel looks a bit bodged on but otherwise it looks good.

If you were going to keep it as an 88mm I'd drill the mantlet or fit a Panther 75mm.

Right now im keeping this build simple, but i could use the metal sleeve that was meant for the airsoft gun as a panther 75mm. Not sure

Nice to see someone your age taking the time to not just run something right out of the box. I'd recommend painting over your letters in white and make them stand out like the Russian tankers had.... Have fun!
Tanks alot....
