Some bad news and more bad news
15 Panzer 4s, I do not have the variant/s joined Schwere Panzer 501 at the end of February 1943 in North Africa
After suffering heavy losses---7 Tiger 1s---4 PZ4s and 8 PZ111s, Most of these losses were from 8/Panzer Regiment 7,
The remaining Tanks were all merged into one company of three platoons, 5 Tanks to each platoon, each Tank using the same Turret Numbers of 7/Panzer Regiment 7
I have the Turret numbers of the Tigers and the PZ111s but not the variant or the Turret numbers of the PZ4s.
As to 813, It was the first Tunisian Tiger 1 that I built she had been renumbered 813 from at least one earlier designation perhaps two,
Tank Turret numbers unlike car and truck registration numbers were interchangeable and while the number would be retained by the company it would not be permanently assigned to a particular Tank.
The 800 series of Turret numbers was not used by PZ111s or 4s in the North African campaign.
Sorry for the negativity.

Today saw the completion of the basic Panzer IV 'F' Build. I still have another figure to add and markings and weathering to sort out. Almost there!

Beautiful modeling! Love the convoy light, bucket, tools and everything else. It’s obvious that you’ve paid a lot of attention to details. I can’t wait to see it completed and weathered.

Thank you, Doc. Not turning out too bad for a basic runner. ;o)

Personally, I would be afraid to run it much at all, with all of the delicate features you've added onto it! But, you ARE way ahead of a similarly-detailed build that will ONLY be meant to sit on a shelf....there's got to be some measure of satisfaction in that!

Good Morning, Mike!
I'm glad you are still following along! Yessir, I have learned the balance of making them look realistic ( from a certain distance ) and having all the functions work as a running vehicle. It's no fun if I cannot take them out and raise some dust. As an example, those Jerry Cans are super secured. The rack is epoxied at two points to the turret roof and the hooks for the leather strapping are bent out of a steel paperclip. They are not going anywhere, ( but can be functionally removed if needed ). Just a little further to go with the Figure you sent and Unit markings and such. Thank you again, my Friend.
regards,
Painless

This is coming along a treat painless  all the details that you've added have certainly enhanced the build, that figure looks great also

Cheers, Lee.

Thank you, Painless Wolf: yours will be a helpful build record for me. I tell myself that this winter as the snow lies deep in the woods around me here in Wisconsin USA, I will work on my Taigen DAK Panzer IVs (two of 'em). In preparation, I have been painting figures, some rather simple, but the SOL model one quite fine.

I am intrigued by the rack of cans you have at the front of the turret. I do hope those are for Wasser and not Triebstoff. One hit and the latter would make the tank toasty:O. I have a few books on the Panzer IV, but I have never seen that position for the rack. Did you find that from a prototype photo?
