Hello all!
A few more steps completed with pics to show progress. Tamiya makes a sweet and well designed kit in any scale. My biggest problem has been the two Greyhound boys shedding their Winter coats as Spring has returned ( finally ) to the high country. Apologies for any fur infested shots ;o) The vac is run constantly and while canned air is my friend, static electricity is not ;oP Pics: ( Click to Enlarge )

Good morning! Last of the vehicle painting completed. Figures assembled and ready for primer\paint. Before that tho', the tracks will need to be assembled and installed. Pics: ( Click to Enlarge )

P.S. I saw that the 'S' hakken holder had been pushed over and glued it back into place. Tamiya cement is good and I wanted to use it for this build. I will be happy to go back to my usual and excellent Loc-Tite Ultra-Gel after this tho'.

It was a bad and good afternoon for building. The bad news was that the Kaizen tracks I had started on were too small for the sprocket that came with this 'meant to be motorized' version of the Tamiya kit. I have found a home for them in exchange for a set of the Tamiya tracks that will fit. So it is not all bad. Good news is that the Trojca book on the Pz IV came in today. It will be very useful for referencing during the 1/16 build phase. Rad's excellent stencils for the previous KR-11 Build came in as well. The Pandemic has slowed every facet of life down but these will be timely fun in smartening up my Truck and Artillery Piece. Thank again, rad!
regards,
Painless

My Tamiya kit was meant to be motorized with rubber tracks and has a different sprocket mounted for such. These tracks will go to a Friend to use..jpg

Ahh the frustrations of the build and yet we seem to be driven to go ever onward :lolno: This may well explain why my grey hair now consists of a very close cropped scalp revealing crewcut :/
I am watching this build very closely and as ever I am highly impressed by your attention to detail
I would appreciate your thoughts on the book and if you do think it to be a worthy addition to the book shelf could you include the "ISBN" Number so that I might broaden my knowledge of the early PZ4 variants.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Good Morning,
I leafed through the book last night. While it is no Two Volume Omnibus on the KV series, replete with mechanical schematics, it will serve very nicely as a photo rich guide to the tank in use. The sections are broken out by Ausf designation which is incredibly helpful.
The ISBN # is: 83-60041-13-X
regards and thanks, my friend,
Painless

Thank you Painless my friend,
I have in the past been right royally ripped off by Amazon so I have ordered it from a German dealer for a very fair price having first confirmed it was an English Language edition.
Pay-Pal rules
