Hi all,

Newbie to the site and RC Tanks but I saw a members dioramas on the RPF site and thought I had to get a Tiger 1. £60 ( what a bargain ) and a couple of days later and

Great size.

So with an OCD itch to make it "better" I set about carving ( and ordered tons of detail parts )

Its a start..

That's all for now. Thanks for looking in

Cheers Merlin

I do have a couple of questions though if anyone can assist:

1. What length should this bit of the barrel be when NOT in recoil?

And does anyone have dimensions to build the early filter ( red circle ). Will be building it by adapting the mid one.

Bye for now.

Great start Abe, I'm looking for pointers as I want to smarten up my tiger but I'll have to see what I can build as my budget doesn't run to buying all those bits - still I love watching what others do and see what I feel competent enough to attempt. Will be following with great interest - lots of pics please. Alwyn

David, many thanks for the pic. These are obviously very thin metal and take a bit of a beating!!

Do we know how many Early Tiger 1 tanks were made? I have ordered the Haynes Manual which I believe is based on the Bovingdon Tiger, which I read somewhere is an early Tiger. Hoping it is a good book photo detail wise.

David..how did you become involved with the tank?
