Hi Abe,
This is proving to be a great build! Sorry I haven't contributed before...
I can help with spare tracks for the front of the hull. Are you in the UK, the US or..?

ABE, The Jack Block is 24.00mm x 23.45mm x 7.65mm. I smiled at your wing NITS? perhaps wing nuts, if you are going to do a reasonably accurate copy of a Tiger 1 you will need at least 20 wing nuts. there are to my knowledge two makers of them, SCHUMO and IMPACT, I started with SCHUMO but when I found the IMPACT ones I only use them, if you are interested this is what you are after," M1 Butterfly nut", they come in packs of ten and come from

This is proving problematic.... Tigers with 5 cleaning rod portions, tend to have a non-standard turret bin, and open holes above the driver's visor. Is that OK with you?

David, if 3+2 is a prob, will go 3+3 instead. The number of cleaning rods is not a deal breakerDavidByrden wrote:Abe Froman wrote: Cleaning rods 3 +2

Re: ABE'S EARLY TIGER 1 BUILD
Now, we have lots of Tigers to choose from. Such as;
Lt. Meyer's white Tiger at Leningrad.
The mud-covered Tiger "01" in the same area. This one has the flat gun mantlet.
Or Tiger 3 which has a different mantlet.
Tiger "121" was wrecked in Tunisia.
Tiger "131", its partner, is now in the movies.
Tiger "112" of the 505 battalion has a strong camouflage pattern. Unfortunately, we're not sure what the colours are.
But the whole battalion covered up in whitewash in winter, like Tiger "100" here.
In fact, the gun mantlet is a big determinant of which Tiger you could accurately build. What does your mantlet look like?
