Heng long KV2. Rebuild

Hey all, thought it was about time I shared some work I have been doing to a German KV2. Bought it off a friend clearing out some stuff from his hobbyroom, and immediately sat about remaking it back to a green monster. This startet a while back, but with me, sometimes stuff takes ages before it is finished.

So here it is as it was before , and follow me here to see how this will end :-)

First order was to strip it of it's old look, so I sanded Down as much as I could and primed it With a thin layer of AK , just to get a feel for if I had removed enough.
Also removing the german coupla.

Adding a few weld lines

Before adding color to the beast, I tried out 3 brands. All worked really well, but I'm kinda sold on Tamiya + L Thinner. I really like how it flows and dries.

But for ease of use and indoore smell I went With AK 4BO set this time.

I also got hold of a Aber PE oildrum set from rctank.de

I wanted to see how the pe vs resin part would look like once done ( and also to practise on my PE skills)

Good Afternoon,
Max, it's fun to watch you going down the opposite direction along the road I just came from. Beautiful work on the colors and paints. The details make these giants come alive and you have those well in hand.
regards,
Painless

Yes, the de-evolution of this build back to a Russian type is different . Pretty cool there is a box set of "paint your Soviet tank the right colour" that must make the end result just that little more satisfying eh.
