Been practicing that fine control on this. Better on a low cost model than my expensive tank after-all. I'll check that out Wibbly, thanks! :D

This suit is 1:100th scale. The internal skeleton is fully modeled and pose-able, crazy how models have gotten now! There is a whole outer skin of armor plates that attach to this. It carries a 120mm "machine gun." 8O

Sov,
Looks like real metal now, not plastic. Great job!

That's really impressive Sov, loving the realistic metal effects.

Just out of interest what anime is the suit taken from?
Just watched the little clip but it doesn't say.

Gundam Igloo? I've never actually seen any show with this Zaku in it. Only watched Gundam Wing on U.S. cable tv when I was a kid. I might give it a try.

Doing detail parts today, random batch, no drive just what I felt like.

The hooks from Derek. Wow, if the Tamiya Tiger is as nice as these pieces I can't believe what I started with. Still, as nice as they are, not without flaws I needed to correct...

The hook had way to much sway inside the standard fit mount for it, seen on the right hook. I narrowed if a tiny bit to remove this "play" so the hook is always straight (left).

Stylish...

..and functional! (That's one of my big potential headaches solved nicely! Thanks again Derek!)

The Voyager Brass gun cleaner/tow cable mount had a problem. It was cut in a way that all five "holes" were the same size! This is not the case, as the tow cable is significantly larger in diameter than the cleaning rods. Took some careful work but I fixed this issue so the tow cable fits, before it was not even close. I want to make some new cleaning rods as well, the old ones don't satisfy me anymore. Going to make them our of wood this time, maybe reuse some of the older brass pieces.

Off to play WoT tonight, thanks for stopping in. 8)
SOV, how might I be able to contact Derek to get some of those hooks?

Hey guys, sorry Winter was rough and I haven't been modeling. Just cleaning my bench so I can get back to work with updates again in the future. My space is in the basement, as you've seen and it's very cold down there during winter, so hobbies were on hold.

Abe, this is Derek: memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=3953

I don't know if he as anymore of those, they could have been spares.

This is his excellent tank, you've prob seen: viewtopic.php?t=9711

Oh boy, been a long time since I popped in to say hi and check on people's builds. Sorry, never made it much farther on this project. It's unreal I started this five years ago!

Been doing lots of other projects over the years, but I feel like I'll be getting back to this one to bring it to the edge. I've a real itch to complete it.

My hobby bench has been covered in a mess, unusable for a long time. I've taken to cleaning and sorting everything and I'm almost back to an empty table. Hope I can shake the rust off asap.
