A esc test using a new unit we bought to trial
Reverse function is not correct, so will be playing around
But the purpose was to show how the model performed with a proportional track control esc when steering
We will do another test without proportional control to show difference.

Outdoor test

The esc fitted is a tank esc, so it does do proportional turning on the tracks, but that will not be supplied with the models
It may be that some decide to run with both motors driving together
For our own model we are going to invest in a control board to get lights and sound and half track controls. But this is where the fun is, we all decided to do things differently

Hope you like the outdoor test and can see the potential of this model and how well it drives offroad under 2s lipo

The famo will be done at somepoint, but i am going to be taking a break for a wee while from new military models and do some crazy things. :D

In the end we received 5 orders for 251's, the parts are on order this week.
So a lucky few will get one of these beauties
The capability of this model is quite impressive

If anyone wants one at the reduced price get in touch quick with the first order. We can only discount the price if making in batches.

Fair play to the dog, it is a dog we are looking after for some friends, but probably the first time seeing an RC model and actually it was ok thankfully haha

*UPDATE*
I know this has been quiet for a little bit, don't worry we are still working on the 251 batch for those who have been lucky enough to order one.
Things have been a bit slow as we had been waiting for ordered in parts to arrive(some still haven't!). Most of these have so we can start to show more progress.
The chassis metal work and some bearings and gears are still outstanding, but we can chase them up in time.

WCP Models have also bought a milling machine so that we can machine the parts for the torsion bars ourselves rather than outsource, so this should also save us some time waiting for others.

We hope to bring you some lovely photos of numerous models being built side by side very soon.
If anyone wishes to contact us for more info if you have an order placed, please don't hesitate, we are on hand to answer your questions.
Take care

Update, the metal chassis machining work is underway

Image

The chassis rails are cut by hand to length, then they are machined to finish the cut edges
They are then marked in drilling jigs with the various size and number of holes
Then the rails are marked for hand cuts for the front and rear profiles, again, these are finished off with the mill for a clean edge

All parts are then inspected for tolerance fit using one of our 3d printed checking gauge

The next large milling operation is to machine the high tensile bolts so they fit the suspension arms and have the torsion bar set angles machined in so that the ride height is correct for the suspension arms.

We will then turn on the lathe and mill the main drive shafts

This is by no means just a 3d printed model, there are many parts hand made and hand machined and then assembled. So this is my sratchbuilt model.

Hopefully we can invest next year in a CNC machine so that we can offer metal machined parts, but need to save a fair few pennies first

APOLOGIES to Mick in advance if this is screwing with your OCD :haha:
