1/16th British Sherman DD.
This model is a depiction of a Sherman which had landed on Sword beach with the 13th/18th Royal Hussars during morning of june 6 1944.
All features of the tank, including a functional canvas but with no lights...
Chassis from a Mato Sherman, with plastic wheels and metal tracks.
Upper hull and turret was made by Nick Aguilar in USA with a modified rear deck for a British Sherman DD.
The canvas support was made from steel.
The frame for the canvas is from brass.
The canvas was cut and waterproofed.
Many details are scratch built from brass.
New paint job, with the green colour of the British army.
Figure has been made and painted by Fred's friend Yan.
Rear wheels 3D printed by Yan.
2 metal rear axles from an Opel Blitz were used for the propellers with the rears wheels connected like the true Sherman DD.
Supply of most stowage for the crew by Fred's friend Bertrand.
Tank number 44 and 13th/18th Hussars emblem are hand painted.
