Turret rotation fixed, I can now retreat (as if a Tiger retreats!) in safety.

Pretty much completely assembled so I can pencil a camouflage pattern on.

Once I've decided on a pattern that is.

When the Tiger 1 was entrained on Railway Flat cars to ensure the Tanks did not overhang the flat cars and damage the tank or any trackside furniture the Road Tracks would be removed using the track cable on the side of the tank body,
This would also be used to help fit the Transport tracks which were narrower,
Of course this would all be for nothing if the side fenders were not removed as well.
They were in 4 sections on each side and bolted in place. On Heng Long/Taigen and Torro Tigers the sections are not separated but simply marked with a depression in the ABS,
An Exacto saw carefully swiped down each fender section will separate the fenders.
The front and rear fenders were hinged so that they would not be damaged in transit ABER sell a Photo Etch fender kit with working hinges.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Thanks both, kind words Jofaur.

I'm familiar with the transport procedure Jarndice, the side plates are are already separated but the paint has hidden that for now.

The old girl has seen some action.

I am pondering a few additions/modifications including metal geared boxes.
Big issue at the moment is my indecision on camouflage pattern.

If you go to the Forum Menu and select "CAMO PATTERNS" go to Tiger 1 and the third one down is chock full of different patterns,
Well worth a look.

Thanks Ludwig, appreciated.
I've been poring over the forums reference library and the interwebs for a camouflage pattern I like and can do with my limited resources.
I think I may have found the one for me.

I'm a big fan of tiger stripe camouflage and this simplified variant suits.
