Your call, but I still reckon its a Tamiya Tank, with mods, so for me it can stay where it is...............if you want it too.?

Fine by me, just wanted to be sure. Thank you.

Next is strengthen and tidy the join of the grafted in section and drill the Tamiya drive sprockets to accept the HL shafts.
For the graft I'm thinking to add in some tiny wee bolts flush mounted so that I can fill and paint the deck to cover them up.
The sprockets should be simple enough but let's see...

Hello :D
I had posted some time ago, in the tips section, this. But it's good to have made the modification, great top, personally I would have reinforced the underside with ABS, more aesthetic? but you can't see it
viewtopic.php?f=38&t=31109
personally made with aluminum plate, on my KTM

That does look very neat Jofaur. My kitchen is not particularly well equipped unfortunately. I do have a plan for strengthening the joints with some countersunk m1.6 bolts but as as you point out, the underside will not be seen.
I've been doing gunnery practice in my living room/gym and while driving around and over obstacles it has held up well given a fair bit of abuse.

One improvised vice and the OE metal sprockets are modified to fit.

Hey Jofaur, just ordered me some abs plastic sheets to tidy and strengthen that top deck up some. Should have plenty to add some internal bracing and a plinth for the mfu and battery to sit on.
