Misleading title? Perhaps!

My next project is a Tamiya Jagdpanther! Going to make a sort of in between model or the original Jagdpanther and the Jagdpanther 2.

Plans at this moment in time are, Panther F cupola, King Tiger steel wheels, King Tiger transport tracks, relocated stowage, armour for the deck, new muzzle brake and mantlet.

Camouflage scheme is still being decided, input on this is welcome!

Enjoy! :)

Who’s did you use?

I have Tamiya KT idlers but they don’t fit. Taigen ones will fit the Tamiya idler arm.

I made the idler myself, based on tamiya KT-Idler.
The outer wheel is made on a CNC milling machine:

The KT-Idler was machined on a lathe and the outer wheel heated up and shrink on the KT-Idler.

For fit the Tamiya KT-Idler you need new shafts and bearings.

This will be an interesting build. Although I think the JP was nearly perfect to begin with! :D

Cheers,
Eric.
