Hello
on the Sherman Tamiya, what can be done to improve the mechanical part of the tensioning wheels, and avoid the rotation of the plastic on a metal axle with hellish play? Thank you in advance for your possible solutions

Re: Sherman Tamiya
What I had to do is to fit a bigger metal plate inside, so the idler holds well and does not deform the hull.Jofaur86 wrote:Hello

About the plastic wheel over the metal axle wearing, well, after wearing my wheels I bought replacement parts and made somebody fit bearings on it. That is a must if you are going to use your tank.

Thank you Rad, I installed 1.5 mm aluminum plates to reinforce and replaced the original screws with BTR, find out how to adapt which type of bearings
Re: Sherman Tamiya
Hello Jofaur86,
Please look into my last contribution from the Easy8 Sherman. I installed a L-profile peace of metal so that the lower hull does not bend. This should be sufficient to prevent this problem....
cheers

Hello Easy8
thank you for your answer, but I would like to install either bearings or bronze bearings on these wheels, the plastic friction on metal, is not great, or know if anyone has already made this modification? have a good day

Hello,
the cheap Display-Modells have these plastic on metall wheels.
The FO-Modells have out of the Box wheels with ball bearings.
You need new wheels, axles, bearings and the suspension arms.

The full option sherman has the idler wheel with no bearing or bushing, just plastic over metal, catastrophic design by tamiya...jhamm wrote:Hello,
