Re: Heng long long money Tamiya Leopard 2 restoration.
Managed to get the suspension arms dried, had to resort to baking them at 100 degrees in the oven! Paints now very solid.
All the wheels and tracks back on to see where things are at.
Next up oils, streaks, dots and grime

Making a start on the oils. Starting to.get a better idea where I'm going to go with the weathering. I think there will be mud.

Some more progress on the leo. Most of the times spent painting the tools, I added grain using corse sand paper, then dark yellow, a wash of ammo track wash and finally a gloss or some gloss coat of varnish. I've also done the initial dot filter to the engine deck and painted the green tint on the glazing on the scopes.

Looking good Tom. I only wish there was a steady supply of used Tamiyas in this part of the world but sadly they are as rare as sound medical advice from a US president around here. (Maybe slightly more common than that but you get the point)

Really like the tooling detail and would you happen to have any extra turret baskets laying around like yours? I would pay nicely for them for my leopard...... just say in
