Just bought this transmitter at eBay from a Japanese retailer. It worked great as the video review suggests. But I am looking at getting a 2nd receiver (TRU-09) and could not find it anywhere online to buy. Can anyone advise? Or is there a compatible receiver from another brand that could work with this transmitter?

I would contact the ebay sellers with the radio set and see if they can get the TRU-09 by itself. also there should be a part# on it or the manual and you can search that.

Already contacted the Japanese shop that sold me the transmitter. Unfortunately they do not sell the receiver.

Hopefully that is not the case. I wonder if there are 3rd party compatible RX units. Something from Futaba?

It is unusual to find Tx/Rx compatility, other than rebadged equipment such a Turnigy/FlySky. Other than that, the only ones I have found have been with RC cars, where the RTRs come with a Tx/RX that are just rebadged propriety items.

I have a spare 4YWD 2.4 Ghz I will test and see if I can bind the new radio to it and see if it works, if so those should be attainable.

From a friend's contact in a shop in Japan, we managed to get the seller to send a couple of these TRU-09s via postage to us. But to the RX on my transmitter I need to bind it. Am having a little problem with that now as I can't read the manual in Japanese. :(
