I got in touch with Impact via Messenger, bit of a language barrier and they said they didn't have enough pads for a complete set, then they said they had a million so I requested enough to do both my M51 and M26, still waiting on getting a grand total or paypal invoice.

fingers crossed I can actually buy these things.

PS, your build is looking fantastic!

Keep us updated! My tracks are wearing and I will need some replacement at some point.

Thank you :)

Glad you managed to get in touch!

Rad, I have two sets of Tamiya Sherman track pads from doing two rubber pad conversions -
Do you need those?

Hi Adam, I might need them.
I think the original nylon pads might suit me better than the rubber ones, because the rubber might have too much grip for my taste.

What are your experiences with them? I have no tank with rubber in the tracks, so I am not sure about the feeling.

Drop me a PM with your price, but I'll probarbly need to wait some time until I recover from a scale 1/1 car repair, lol.

Managed to get some work on the Sherman done tonight.

Cut off the side fenders from a Tamiya hull and have just bonded them onto the cast hull.

Filled the gaps and now awaiting stuff to dry before sanding.

Also managed to cut the oval hatch for the turret.

Fast forwards a few weeks and all the parts arrived and have been fitted.

Primed yesterday. Painted today.

Golly, that is a superb looking tank! I've been terrified to try the mantlet cover for fear it wouldn't look scale, but that one surely does.
Fine work.
