Hi folks

Just received an old king tiger with clutch system, tried it out everything works.
Tx , instructions, all the spare parts track links and an unused set of IMPACT metal tracks.
Looking at trying to get a scale speed sorted out with the clutch system if possible. any ideas?
Will upgrade turret rotation as it will interfere with the servo and flash/mg cables

thanks Ronnie

Made a start , front has a large frame for the gears so no need for beefing up. Moved over a Henntec for Idlers, and some AL for the sides . Only problem wheels are shot ( bearings and spacer for the outers) . Will try a brass spacer soldered onto the bronze ? bearing or is it just brass. May just buy new bearings and axles . Bearing fit needed for the press fit into wheels.

There isn't one. Moving threads is a mods only function. However, I can move it for you, if you would like.

Going for Atak Trumpeter zimmermit kit , only because it has the cutouts for skirts and track holders on turret. Think the Tamiya version only has a cutout where you glue in the plastic tracks onto the turret. Not too bad a fit , can sort out with putty. Trumpeter kit has slightly different cut on the front plate for the periscopes and at the rear where the shackles fit at the top of rear hull its slightly longer. Last tank a kit Taigen kit Tiger 1 used Tamiya Atak zimmermit it was ok , i think the Taigen was shorter than the Tamiya. Even when hull side is adjusted to scale from 3.5 mm to 5mm you still see a gap .

Zimmerit on, put some primer on to highlight the flaws. Don't like milliput (superfine) to blend in the angles and the missing parts. Atak mention that the stuff sometimes shrinks. Tried humbrol filler was a little better. You can buy Zimmerit tools for 1/35 will try and make a 1/16 version .
