Decima Project
Decima Project:
It is the reproduction of a Sherman M4 Beute Panzer.
The tank fits in the scenario of the clashes that took place at the gates of Rome (Castel di Decima) in May 1944 between the allied forces on one side and
On the other the 29 Panzergrenadier Division (Falco Division) side by side with the paratroopers of the 185 Battalion Nembo.
The tank was captured during the landing of Anzio was captured and used for the defense of Rome.
On board we find a paratrooper officer and a German man.
On the transport case you will find photos of Cassino's fights, of Anzio's landing, of the Maps of the territory of the time.
Logos of the Light Institute and UFA (German equivalent) on the sides of the transport case
The work ends with the final shot of the tank, in an alternative pose theater, which does not distract the observer.

A refreshing thread, with a hint of drama and Chiaroscuro Members here often find very inventive ways of displaying their models (dioramas etc), and projects. Yours continues that tradition

Superb photography, really the finishing touch!
1:16 was my scale. Until 'Konan' came into my life... an Armortek 1:6 Tiger 1!
... Now followed by a Panther G, 'Gunther'!
