Hey Guys,
Hope everyone had a good super bowl party!!! I'm still eating chips and salsa...ha ha ha
Anywho, heres a couple photos from this weekends work.

I saw these brackets on the rear starboard hull of the tank I'm trying desperately to model, so I decided to make some out of some PE sprue.
I'm guessing the brackets were for Jerry cans, so I fitted it to one I had left over from an old Verlinden kit.
Heres a pic I found on flickr of the rear hull brackets.

Once in place I use the 1-3 seconds CA formula with a skinny glue spout around the edges. Its very watery and sucks right under the Zimmerit.

Some fellow Tankers helped me out with some photos and some advice regarding the 507th insignia. From the photo it looks like the Zimmerit was ground down for this particular insignia. So I will do the same...

Hmmmm I think I got carried away with the dremel tool. Made it a bit to wide. I can fill in with putty and tool the Zimmerit up to the edge of the insignia.

Grinding the Zimmerit pattern down a bit looks like a good solution. Better than only the micro setsol

Hi Soeren,
Yes I agree with you. Plus, after studying some photos, it looks like the crews did the same when they received their Tigers in the field. It actually makes sense, so you don't have to fight the ridges of the Zimmerit.

All these details sure do bust my hump when it comes to whats required for my F05 T1 !!
The jack base is a well known feature, but its just never given the attention to highlight it in so many builds.
I guess there are so many other things that absorb attention that by the time a humble jack comes up, the builder is 'over it' by then.

Great work mate, plenty of things for others to draw on.
